LeaP 2005 Class Project
2005 LeaP Class Launches “Partnership 4 Parks”
The Leadership Pensacola (LeaP) Class of 2005 is teaming with the City of Pensacola and Escambia County to beautify and revitalize four parks that were ravaged by Hurricane Ivan in the Pensacola Bay Area.
“Since the area parks play a major role in uniting our communities and families, efforts to keep the parks clean and visually appealing after the storm are a necessity,” says William S. Wirth, LeaP Steering Committee co-chairman.
The LeaP 2005 Class created Partnership 4 Parks to increase public awareness and community involvement as a fund-raising effort to provide landscaping materials that will increase overall aesthetics of the selected parks.
Leadership Pensacola (LeaP) partnered with the City of Pensacola and Escambia County through Partnership 4 Parks to beautify and revitalize four Pensacola area parks—Toledo Square (East Hill), Armstrong Park (A & Jordan Streets), Brosnaham Park (Ensley), and Dickson Park (Warrington)—all of which were damaged during Hurricane Ivan.
